Ken Herceg & Associates, Inc. was hired as a subconsultant to design the site improvements for the Coleman-Morse Center at the University of Notre Dame.

The Center opened in the spring of 2001 on the former site of The Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore. This was located on the South Quad. Our responsibilities included:establishing the site layout on the topographic survey; designing upgrades to the existing site utilities; and developing a site demolition plan.

The site utility upgrades included new domestic water, fire service, chilled water and sanitary sewer lines. A new storm drainage system was designed to detain most of the storm runoff on site to avoid significant discharges to the existing surcharged storm sewers.
